Liang Qiurong Advances to Three Gold-Medal Matches at the 2026 World Archery Para Series in Ahmedabad with NIKA ARCHERY Equipment

The 2026 World Archery Para Series – Ahmedabad 2026 was recently held in Ahmedabad, India. As an important international event on the World Archery Para Series calendar, the competition brought together top para archers from around the world.

In the women's recurve division, Chinese archer Liang Qiurong delivered a strong performance, advancing to the women's recurve individual, women's recurve doubles and recurve mixed team gold-medal matches, making her one of China's standout performers at the event.

For the competition, Liang competed with a professional setup from NIKA ARCHERY, a brand of ELONG OUTDOOR PRODUCT LIMITED, featuring the NIKA ET-19AL “Stars” aluminium recurve riser, NIKA S+ “Bloom” recurve limbs and an XT carbon stabiliser set. The ET-19AL riser is designed for stability and precise tuning, while the S+ limbs combine high-modulus carbon, bamboo and foam to support a smooth draw and consistent shooting performance. The XT stabiliser set helps optimise balance and vibration control.

The event was the third stage of the 2026 Hyundai World Archery Para Series and marked the first time India hosted an international World Archery Para Series event. Held from 5–9 September at the Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad, the competition brought together 109 para archers from 19 countries.

Ranked World No. 39 and seeded fourth, Liang defeated India's 18-year-old Rajshri Dhanraj Rathod 6–4 in the women's recurve individual semifinal to secure her place in the gold-medal match, where she faced Iranian veteran Somayeh Rahimi Ghahderijani. In the team events, Liang partnered with Chen Yu in women’s recurve doubles and Xia Lei in recurve mixed team, with both teams winning their respective semifinals to reach the finals against India. China secured eight gold-medal match berths across the event, demonstrating the team’s strong overall performance on home soil for India.

Liang previously won a team gold medal at the 2025 Asian Para Archery Championships, gaining valuable international competition experience. Now, she returned to the Ahmedabad stage to compete in three gold-medal matches and challenge for top honours.
